today attended a fire safety prevention talk organized by the company...the talk is good..interesting and informative...but sad oso when the speaker show sum real cases...really very scary...learn alot..felt like havng at least one fire extinguisher at home... *touch wood* some form of protection...

i didnt know its actually not advisable to splash water onto a human body or electrical appliances that has caught fire...for the human body, when the water comes in contact with such high temperature, it will actually leaves large boils on the person...and for burning electrical appliances, it can result in explosion...!
for blanket wise..not a very good choice either..it will also catch the fire..and if u shld wrap a burning body with the blanket, and tap on it (tryin to put out the fire), it will actully end up with the blanket sticking onto the person's skin due to high temperature...so imagine after dat, have to remove the blanket along with the skin...

fire extinguisher though doesn't promise 0% damage/injury to the human body, but at least the pain/injury will be much reduced..but dere r 2 kinds of extinguishers, never to use the dry ice type on human bodies....

other tips in escaping a fire includes protecting urself by wetting ur hair (first to catch fire), eyes ( gets irritated easily) and skin (cool down from the surrounding heat)...always run down a building and not up the rooftop (the speaker was jokin dat dere is no helicopter cumin to rescue like wat we see on TV)..carry a water bottle wif u..when u need oxygen, can breath into the bottle..but only last afew sec and can only do it 5-6 times....

i shared all these wif my bro n mum juz now...at least someone else in the family knows all these little knowledge... =)

neway im tinkin of doin a little investment with my CPF b4 1st April (when the new rule sets in that the first $20 000 in the ordinary account wld not be able to use for investment)..juz now went to Clementi with Gina, jenelle & BaoYun to listen to Gina's bf explain abt the investment tingy...Jenelle signed up, only short of opening the investment acct for her CPF ..dis is the part i find a little ma fan...finding time to make a trip down to the bank to open an investment account....but i guess no choice if i want.....

hmmm...for now...im tired...goin to ZzzzzZZ...
